From there it works in order through the idea, the location, the timing, keeping it secret, who gets told, the blessing conversation with her family, what is worth spending on, what you are going to say, and how to practise it without flattening the feeling out of it. Eleven worksheets carry the work, because a decision you have written down is a decision and one you have only thought about is not. There is nothing in it to copy and paste.

It runs the day in order with a box beside each line — morning, before you leave, at the location, the proposal itself, the first five minutes after — so that nothing on the day depends on you remembering it. No. There are checklists in it, near the end, where a checklist is the right tool. The first half is about her — her story, what she would actually want, what she has told you without telling you. You cannot checklist your way to that.
No. One section is specifically about meaning per dollar, because the details she repeats afterwards are almost never the expensive ones. If you have money to spend it will help you spend it better. If you do not, it helps more.
Yes, and you should. The worksheets are meant to be written on. The Day-Of Card is meant to be folded once and kept in a jacket pocket.

If you work through it and change nothing, you have confirmed the plan against every decision the book asks about, which is worth knowing before the day rather than after it.
